SUMMER ENTERTAINMENT SERIES Every summer Estes Park attracts hundereds of visitors with its free summer music programs. From mid-June to late August, Wednesday and Thursday evenings come alive with the sounds of music at Performance Park Amphitheater located on the west end of Elkhorn Avenue. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and catch the reflection of a Rocky Mountain sunset while listening to Americana, jazz, fok, bluegrass, and rock musicinas perform tunes that will either soothe the soul or get your feet a stompin' and your hands a clappin.' Concerts begin at 7 pm. Performance Park series are presented by The Town of Estes Park in its extremely popular Wednesday Night Series from June 12 through August 28, 2013. The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park presents Thursday Night Live concerts in the same venue from June 20 through August 1st, 2013. Stop by Bond Park each Sunday, Monday or Tuesday evening from June 9 through August 13 and you can hear and participate in an old-fashioned Cowboy Sing-a-Long. And, during July, the Estes Park Music Festival offers concerts performed by the Colorado Music Festival Chamber Orchestra. On the southwest side of town, the YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park Center offers free musical programs for guests as well as visitors to the grounds. The SummerFest series dates for 2013 will be announced soon. Concerts typically begin at 7:30 pm and are usually held at the Hempel Family Building. Nights of the week vary. Rocky Ridge Music Center, a classical music camp offers faculty concerts Sunday afternoons at the Center, 465 Longs Peak Road. << back |
